What our information is

Our pages are general information to help you prepare your dog’s trip. Each rule is checked against official sources, mainly cdc.gov, and each page shows its sources. When an official source is unclear, we say so.

Rules can change

The CDC, USDA, US states, other countries and airlines can change their rules at any time, sometimes with little notice. Information that is correct today may change before you travel. Before you leave, check the official pages we link to, especially for a dog that has been in a high-risk country.

Who decides at travel time

Your airline decides whether your dog can board. US Customs and Border Protection decides whether your dog can enter the United States, and the CDC rules apply on arrival. Neither we nor our pages can guarantee their decision. A CDC receipt, whoever filed it, does not guarantee entry if the dog or its documents do not meet the requirements.
